Resignation and discharge

As noted previously, Paul David Copley’s application for permission to resign (and his release and discharge from liability) was initially listed for directions on 11 March 2026 at 10:30am. However, during that hearing, Deputy ICC Judge Addy KC considered and determined (in open court) that the application should be listed for substantive determination on the same day in a combined hearing alongside certain other applications in relation to Phones Realisations 2026 Limited (formerly known as Phones 4U Limited) (in administration) and related estates.

Following submissions made by counsel on behalf of Mr Copley, Deputy ICC Judge Addy KC granted Mr Copley’s application for permission to resign from his position as concurrent administrator, and his release and discharge from liability. On 16 March 2026, Mr Copley resigned from his position as concurrent administrator of Phones Realisations 2026 Limited (formerly known as Phones 4U Limited) (in administration), effective on the same day. His notice of resignation is linked here.
