Aldan is a member firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England (“ICAEW”) and is subject to the ICAEW Code of Ethics.
Paul David Copley is Aldan’s sole Principal (as defined by the ICAEW) and he holds an ICAEW Practising Certificate. No other Aldan employee or contractor, irrespective of corporate title, is a Principal for this purpose.
Insolvency appointments
Paul David Copley is licensed in the United Kingdom licensed in the United Kingdom to act as an insolvency practitioner by the ICAEW.
Paul David Copley may act as a controller of personal data as defined by the UK data protection law depending upon the specific processing activities undertaken. Aldan may act as a data processor on his instructions. Personal data will be kept secure and processed only for matters relating to the administration.
Paul David Copley is bound by the Insolvency Code of Ethics.
Insolvency appointments are subject to insolvency law and regulations, which primarily comprise Insolvency Act 1986, Insolvency Rules 1986, The Insolvency Regulations 1994, The Insolvency Practitioners Regulations 2005 and Statements of Insolvency Practice.

Professional indemnity insurance
As is customary for professional services firms, Aldan has taken out insurance cover, including professional indemnity insurance (“PII”), in respect of certain potential liabilities. As a member firm of the ICAEW, Aldan’s PII arrangements should comply with ICAEW’s PII regulations (the “Regulations”). However, given the specialist services provided by Aldan and the geographies that it serves, Aldan’s PII does not comply in full with the Regulations and so Aldan has obtained dispensation from ICAEW in this regard.
The PII is worldwide in scope, except that it excludes claims made in respect of entities or natural persons situated in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia and claims brought in any court of the USA or Canada.
Subject to the detailed policy terms and endorsements, Aldan’s PII covers claims not exceeding £1.5 million.

Conflicts of interest
If a conflict of interest should arise, either between two or more of our clients, or in the provision of multiple services to a single client, Aldan will take such steps as are necessary to deal with the conflict. In resolving the conflict, Aldan would be guided by section 310 of the ICAEW Code of Ethics.
Data protection
Aldan and Paul David Copley are registered with the Information Commissioner as data controllers.
Quality of service
If at any time a client is dissatisfied with any services received, the client should raise the matter with, or make a complaint to, Paul Copley, the Managing Director of Aldan. The client has the right to take any complaint up with the ICAEW.
